DirectNet
A State-Certified Managed Care Organization for Workers' Compensation

More than 200 corporate employers are currently enrolled in Capital Region Medical Center's "DirectNet." This no-cost program offers businesses a comprehensive management tool designed to help you effectively manage your workers' compensation program, keep your health care costs under control and lower workers' compensation insurance rates.

Benefits

DirectNet's approach to workers' compensation care means your employees receive the care that's "best for them" at a price that's "best for you." This package of services, customized to your specific business situation, allows you to:

  • Track individual medical claims
  • Minimize lost work days as a result of on-the-job injuries
  • Reduce overall medical expenses
  • Save 20 percent discount on workers' compensation treatment when network providers are used
  • Save 20 percent discount on pharmacy service when network providers are used
  • Choose from a network of physicians in a wide array of specialties
  • Receive next-available-room service at a Capital Region clinic when participants "call-ahead" to notify staff that an injury has occurred that day

Case Management

CRMC's "point-of-injury" case managers go a step beyond the programs offered by many group health managed care plans. Cases can be managed from the point of injury by trained registered nurses to ensure that health care services are used appropriately, and that a treatment plan is developed and stringently monitored. Case management is offered seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day and is done by case managers located at CRMC.

Injury Reporting Guidelines

Life or Limb Threatening Injuries

Send employees directly to the Capital Region Medical Center Emergency Room at 1125 Madison Street. Call a case manager:

After Hours Operator (573)632-5000

Make a follow-up call to your supervisor or appropriate staff as soon as possible.

Non-Life or Non-Limb Threatening Injuries

During regular business hours:

Prior to seeking medical attention, contact your supervisor or appropriate staff. Supervisor or appropriate staff contacts a case manager.

Outside regular business hours:
