A place to receive therapies and rehabilitation to help restore or maintain your independence!
A place where lives are changed....
Where is this place? Capital Region Medical Center Healthplex – the only hospital-based wellness center in our community!
And, the need to help people achieve their maximum level of health, fitness, and wellness is greater than ever!
In 2000, Healthplex opened its doors to 500 members.
In 2009, our membership has grown to over 2,500 members! The Healthplex has been a huge asset to our hospital and our community, bringing a comprehensive approach to help members achieve their health and wellness goals.
Due to phenomenal growth since our opening, we have overgrown our current facility. Simply put, we are busting at the seams! We need room for more fitness equipment, areas to expand our therapy services, and more space for aerobics, to mention just some of the critical needs to help us continue to achieve our ever-important work of changing the lives of the people and communities we serve!
The Healthplex will renovate and expand, offering approximately 10,000 square foot of new space, which will also feature a HydroWorx therapy pool. In addition, many areas of the Healthplex will be renovated so that we can offer our clients the very best in health and fitness, right here in our community.
To fund construction and renovation of the Healthplex, the Capital Region Medical Foundation has launched the $2 million Fitness for Life fundraising campaign. The remaining cost of the facility will be funded through hospital operations. With the support of gifts and pledges to the CRMC Foundation campaign, we hope to break ground on the new facility in 2010.
Naming and memorial opportunities are available.
