Rapid
advancements in medical technology necessitate upgrading and purchasing new
medical equipment. You can help Capital Region provide the best care to our
patients by a gift that will maintain its state-of-the-art capabilities.
First
Response
For the 2000 Annual Giving Campaign, the Foundation chose a critical need for
Capital Region Medical Center - to raise $100,000 for a new ambulance with
LifePack 12 capabilities for the Emergency Medical Services. Since Capital
Region Medical Center is the only provider of ambulance services to the citizens
of Jefferson City and Cole County, our Hospital needed to replace an ambulance
with over 150,000 miles on it.
In 1999, Capital
Region Medical Emergency Medical Services responded to more than 8,700 calls
in the Jefferson City and Bell and Bland areas. Our quick response is all
a part of our charge - to provide emergency medical service and routine ambulance
transport to citizens and visitors to Jefferson City, Cole County, and parts
of surrounding counties. Capital Region Medical Services is not a taxed service
- it is totally funded by Capital Region Medical Center.
Thank you to all
our generous donors who contributed to this effort. Your response to this
important need for our Hospital will help save lives in situations where
every second counts and where up-to-date equipment is critical for emergency
treatment!
