Scholarships are awarded annually to students from Jefferson City and the
surrounding area.
The Leon A.
and Marian B. Taylor Endowed Scholarship Fund
The Leon A.
and Marian B. Taylor Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 1989 by
Dr. and Mrs. Taylor to encourage young people in the Jefferson City area
to pursue an honorable and satisfying career in the field of medicine.
Through the generosity of the Taylor family, financial assistance through
this fund will be available in perpetuity. Their commitment ensures that
students who demonstrate excellence in their academic performance and desire
to enter a medically related profession will always have the opportunity
to receive recognition for their efforts and financial assistance to seek
this goal.
The Helene
Kemper Jackson Memorial Nursing Scholarship
The Helene Kemper
Jackson Memorial Nursing Scholarship was established in 1976 by Mrs. Jackson's
husband, A.B. (Bud) Jackson, Jr., and their children and grandchildren.
The scholarship has a dual purpose -- to assist some deserving person in
furthering his or her education toward a degree in the nursing profession,
and to memorialize Mrs. Jackson who, in her lifetime, was most supportive
of nurses and nursing.
