Additional integrative medicine curriculum

Capital Region’s Family Medicine Residency Program has collaborated with the highly respected University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine, founded by Dr. Andrew Weil, to provide integrative medicine curriculum for the residents.

The 200-hour curriculum includes modules in nutrition, lifestyle and exercise, herbs and supplements, woman's health, pediatrics, mind-body medicine, and special topics such as environmental medicine, immunizations and approaches to cancer.

This curriculum is offered to our residents and taken on a volunteer basis. It will be completed in addition to the requirements of the AOA residency.  Dr. Chris Link, site supervisor, will be overseeing the resident's progress and meeting with them on a regular basis.

Capital Region is proud to be the first osteopathic Family Medicine Residency to offer this program.
