28th Annual Goldschmidt Cancer Center Boost BBQ - POSTPONED to AUG 2021
We were so optimistic! If 2020 has taught us nothing else, it is that changing plans is inevitable. We feel for the safety of our volunteers, postponing the 28th Annual Boost BBQ is the right thing to do. Our volunteers are the lifeblood of this event and we can’t put them at risk and we cannot do the Boost BBQ without them.
The decision was not easy to make. Cancer patients still have cancer and still need nutritional supplements, wigs, and uplifting experiences.
For many cancer patients, nutritional supplements and wigs are necessary during treatment but they are expensive. Goldschmidt Cancer Center will continue to provide nutritional supplements to cancer patients in 23 counties and wigs free of charge through the money raised by the Boost BBQ.
You still have the opportunity to be a part of the Boost BBQ by choosing a sponsorship:
* Booster – donating $30 for a case of nutritional supplement
* Big Wig – donating $100 – the average cost of a wig
* Cheerleader – donating $150 – the average cost of the Look Good Feel Better workshop for one person
What began as a rummage sale in the back room at Naught Naught Agency 28 years ago has raised over $800,000 and provided nutritional supplements and wigs for so many cancer patients who could not afford them. A few years ago the Naughts decided to bring the Boost BBQ under the umbrella of the CRMC Foundation.
2021 will mark the 28th year of the Boost BBQ and we want to celebrate the accomplishments; applaud the survivors; raise even more money to help those still fighting cancer and take a moment to remember those who lost their battle, but we need your help. Please consider becoming a part of this worthwhile event.
