Highlighting Nurses Week, the 2021 Excellence in Nursing Awards were presented to six deserving nurses at a reception on May 10, 2021. Recipients of this award were nominated by their nursing peers, as well as administrative staff and physicians.

These nurses reflect attributes that are necessary to be exceptional in nursing: teamwork, compassion, respect, integrity and a strong desire to heal, just to name a few. They are also the epitome of Better. Every day.

Nurses from various departments were bestowed this honor. The recipients included:

Chelsea Bickell, LPN: Capital Region Physicians – Women’s Health
Autumn Brandt, RN: Emergency Department
Jan Faulconer, RN: Employee Health
Paula Heiskell, RN: Med/Surg Unit
Nikki Troesser, RN: Capital Region Physicians - Pediatrics
Justin Weislocher, RN: ICU

After a very challenging year, we extend our deepest gratitude to these six wonderful nurses for their ongoing dedication to their patients and their community.

The Nurses were honored in front of family and friends at a cake and punch reception. Glenda Dahlstrom, CRMC’s Vice President of Nursing recognized the impressive honorees and presented each of them with their award.
