Corporate health services
No matter if you sit, stand, bend, stretch, lift or walk, we can help determine if you're doing it right. Capital Region's Corporate Health Program is designed to:
- Help prevent workplace injuries through site visits.
- Help workers who may have suffered workplace injuries return to the job more safely with less lost work time.
- Lower workers' compensation costs.
- Help businesses comply with federal and state regulations.
Keeping your employees healthy starts with preventing accidents on the job. A jobsite evaluation from one of Capital Region's physical or occupational therapists can help.
A physical or occupational therapist will come to your worksite and evaluate a particular job to see if changes can decrease joint stress as the worker performs the job. A detailed analysis is performed and a report is generated with recommendations for modifying the activity or the design of the workstation.
Specialized training courses
Providing on-site training courses for your employees shows that you care about their health. It also can save you money by reducing accidents and employee sick days.
At a special corporate rate, staff from CRMC can come on-site to train your staff in:
- Back safety education.
- CPR and first aid.
- Smoking cessation.
- Carpal tunnel/repetitive trauma education training.
- Injury prevention education.
- Weight loss.
Capital Region's Corporate Health Program can tailor employment physicals to your company's needs. Physicals can be conducted at any one of the CRMC clinics.
The Department of Transportation (DOT) and basic physicals include:
- Blood pressure.
- Hearing screening.
- Heart rate.
- Hernia exam.
Spirometry and pulmonary function testing
Companies involved in wellness programs deliver the message to their employees that the worker is valued, and so is the workplace environment. Detection of lung disease in your employees can go a long way toward prevention measures and may help decrease the number of lost work days per year.
Spirometry is used to determine the presence of lung disease or abnormality of lung function in your workers.
Lung testing is useful for workers who are exposed to a wide variety of airborne contaminants on the job such as:
- Welding fumes.
- Solvent vapors.
