CRMC’s Injury Prevention Program is geared towards the middle school and high school student-athlete. The focus is to improve upon the individual functional deficits of each participant by use of the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) and corrective exercise. The overall goal of the program is to improve the functional movements of the athlete while decreasing injury rates for participants during their athletic activities due to dysfunctional movement. For more information on the FMS please visit https://youtu.be/p5yqSZaz4ms.
Functional evaluation and exercise will be provided by any one of the FMS Level 1 Certified Athletic Trainers (AT): Mary Blochberger, Spenser Deeken, and Mackenzie Strother.
Sessions will be held during the months of June and July. Athletes must be entering 6th-12th grade to participate. Prior to admittance, the Consent Form must be completed. If there is a ‘yes’ answer to any question, participation will be determined at the AT’s discretion. The AT has the right to request physician clearance. Payment must be made prior to the pre-screen date.
