Injury Prevention Program

CRMC’s Injury Prevention Program is geared towards the middle school and high school student-athlete. The focus is to improve upon the individual functional deficits of each participant by use of the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) and corrective exercise. The overall goal of the program is to decrease injury risk and increase sports performance by improving these foundational movement patterns. For more information on the FMS please visit

Functional evaluation and exercise will be provided by any one of the FMS Level 1 Certified Athletic Trainers (AT): Mary Blochberger, Spenser Deeken, and Mackenzie Strother.

Sessions will be held during the months of June and July. Athletes must be entering 6th-12th grade to participate. Prior to admittance, the Consent Form must be completed. If there is a ‘yes’ answer to any question, participation will be determined at the AT’s discretion. The AT has the right to request physician clearance. Payment must be made by the sign-up deadline listed on the program flyer.

For further information and registration please contact the Sam B. Cook Healthplex Fitness Center membership office at 573.632.5634. Keep an eye out on our events page or the Sam B. Cook Facebook page for upcoming dates and information on the next session!
