About
Misty McIntosh, PA, is a board-certified physician assistant with more than 20 years of clinical experience. She is passionate about helping people build strong foundations for long-term health through practical lifestyle habits, personalized education and thoughtful medical care. Misty's practice focuses on lifestyle medicine to prevent conditions like diabetes, cardiovascular disease and metabolic syndrome. Rather than focusing solely on treating illness, she is interested in helping individuals optimize their health, build resilience and make sustainable choices that support energy, balance and overall well-being.
Misty chose a career in medicine out of a deep calling to serve others. She believes in listening, educating and walking with patients, equipping them with the tools they need to feel excited about and in control of their health. Misty’s goal is for each person to feel informed, confident, supported and hopeful as they work through challenges and toward their goals.
As a clinician researcher, Misty is interested in how patient education, purpose and resilience influence health outcomes. She has a particular interest in how education and empowerment enhance engagement with nutrition, sleep and movement practices. Misty’s research focuses on developing patient-friendly resources that simplify complex concepts and empower people to take ownership of their health.
Outside of work, her hobbies include exploring nature, gardening, fishing and spending time with family. Misty and her husband have been married for more than 30 years and have four kids and several pets.
