About

Albert Kong, MD, is a board-certified otolaryngologist, or ear, nose and throat specialist, who has additional fellowship training in nasal, sinus and skull base surgery. He treats patients who experience chronic sinusitis, both with and without nasal polyps, allergic rhinitis and nasal congestion or obstruction. He is also trained to surgically remove benign and malignant tumors in the sinonasal tract and skull base as well as address nasal leaking of cerebrospinal fluid.

Learning about medical missions, as well as an enthusiastic high school anatomy teacher, helped spark Dr. Kong’s interest in helping people through medicine. His mentors in medical school molded his approach to care, which starts with making a human connection with every patient and working with each individual to create a treatment plan that meets their goals. Because the skull base is a critical area of the body with overlapping areas of expertise, he values collaborating closely with other specialists and continuously improving to give his patients the best possible care.

A St. Louis native, Dr. Kong is excited to join MU Health Care to provide expert care to central and rural Missourians while being close to family. His hobbies include exercise, including weightlifting, tennis, pickleball and basketball, and he loves traveling to experience new cuisines and cultures in the U.S. and abroad.
