About
Emily Kusgen is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with a decade of experience as a nurse. She provides heart care and heart risk reduction to people who have been diagnosed with cardiovascular conditions, including heart failure, heart valve disease and lipid management for people with high cholesterol and triglycerides. She is also interested in research and care for cardiovascular risk reduction and conditions causing genetic heart weakness, such as cardiomyopathy.
Emily became a nurse because she was inspired by the impact her mom had on other people as a nurse. Emily makes it a priority to listen to each patient with compassion and works with them to create a thorough, evidence-based care plan.
Emily and her husband, Brent, have four children and a yellow Lab. She loves spending time with family on their farm, cooking and being involved with small town community events.
